I started this site (in it’s original form) back in early 2001. It was mainly so family members who didn’t live near us could stay updated with Elliott. The first link and beginning of his story is here. I updated on and off until January 2004. I started messing with it to put it back up end of 2005. I’m not sure when it actually went back up, but it’s been up in it’s current form since June 2006, I believe.
Elliott contracted RSV in February 2003 and that was pretty much the start of a lot of lung issues for him. In October/November of 2005 he was put on a cpap machine. His lungs really didn’t like that and really had problems working after that. Christmas Night 2005 he really started doing badly, so the next morning we took him into his peds doc. Elliott was put in the hospital and then the icu when his lungs pretty much stopped working. We took him off the ventilator at 12:01am January 7, 2006. He finally stopped fighting at 3:30am.
