I’ve never heard him complain so much. But as soon as I put the mask on, he starts shaking his head like he wants to get it off. Then he starts grunting and moaning, making lots of noises, telling me how unhappy he is with it on his face.While we were at the doctors, he [...] Elliott’s been kinda sick the past few days. Nothing that made you go, look, he’s sick. But enough that it was worrying Robert and I. We’d talked over the past few days about taking him in, but I wanted to wait until Monday. I figured by then he would either really be sick, with obvious [...] Elliott’s pt was bouncing him on her knee last week. I think at first it was just kinda bouncing like you do for most babies, but once we noticed that he liked it she started to do more. Like big bounces. Oh my, he opened his eyes, sat up straight and looked around. He *likes* [...] So someone picked him up this morning. I managed to get everyone ready and go. We would’ve been a few minutes late, but not much. We’re in the car, about half way there when Elliott starts throwing up. A lot. Kaelee’s really disappointed, but we go home and I clean Elliott up. He’s been stressed [...] It sprinkled. Elliott cried the entire time. He wasn’t happy. I don’t know if he’s coming down w/ something or not. We’ll see when we go to the dr’s for his 2 year check up. We went trick or treating w/ some friends from church on their block. Came back to our block and there [...] I took Elliott to the dr’s yesterday and today. He started running a 103� fever Thursday night. The took xrays (lots of gas & stools) and then tried to draw blood. Couldn’t do it. Three people spent over 20 minutes just looking for a vein. Nada. So they finally “kinda” found one. Poked him. And [...] Talked to the DME provider today. He ordered Elliott’s wheelchair on Monday. From what I’ve heard it takes about a month for them to make it. So hopefully by the beginning of November Elliott will have a wheelchair. It’s only taken a year. But finally. Now we get to start on the rest of his [...] Elliott fell off the couch a few days ago. Just kinda slid right off. (He’s okay, didn’t seem to faze him at all.) He’s getting too big for it, but I don’t have much options if I want him out here. We have a bed in the den, so I might see if I can [...] I went ahead and changed the times of Elliott’s feedings. He’s still getting the same amount, except every 4 hours instead of 3.5. I know he can handle it. It would also give him more sleep between feedings. From 6 1/2 hours to 8 hours. That I’m not too sure about. I may go ahead [...] Elliott bit me last night when I was feeding him! And I couldn’t get him to let go. I still have a bruise on my finger. One of the things I have to do to feed him is to sit him up and do a lot of motor/oral exercises to get him using his mouth. [...] |
