We’ve had a few changes since last year, but a lot of the curriculum is just moving on from last year. Some of the stuff we started 1/2 way through the year so we’re only 1/2 way through the curriculum.
- Rod & Staff English 7 I almost switched to Growing with Grammar, but found a good enough price on 7 & 8th grades that I decided not to switch.
- Life of Fred Algebra. I’m going to need to add a workbook for review. Mainly because Kaelee is having a hard time using LoF teachings with “normal” worksheet type math. I figure it’s just going to need some work until she makes that connection.
- First Form Latin finishing it up.
- History Odyssey Early Modern
- We’re doing Physics this year (instead of Chemistry) because we’ve slacked on it in the past. Kaelee’s using Simple Schooling’s Middle Physics.
- Classical Writing‘s Older Beginners Set. Still working on this. We haven’t done much with it. We’ll finish it and Poetry for Older Beginners this year.
- We are now using So You Really Want to Learn Spanish I. It’s an British program. We bought Instant Immersion Spanish, a DVD based program, for her to use at Sam’s Club and we had a few beginner reader and such on hand. She’s going to use that for now.
- Harmony Fine Arts is being used for art and music history. I think it’s a really good program.
- Vocabulary from Classical Roots A.
- Critical Thinking 1. Still working on it.
- Lightning Literature 7th grade. A good intro to literature.
