I decided that because we were behind with school (not much happened last year or so) we would use Sonlight’s 3+4 program. We started with Saxon 3 math because I love it a lot, but switched to Rod & Staff 3 because I needed something that Kaelee would be able to do more on her own. R&S requires a lot less teacher time. Which I knew I would need with a baby. It’s going a lot better. Kaelee doesn’t like it as much because she has to write out the problems versus having a workbook. We’re doing Growing with Grammar for the same reason and it’s working out much better than Sonlight’s grammar. We just did astronomy so we’re skipping that part of science and we’re going to do Real Science 4 Kids instead. We’re also doing Writing Strands although Kaelee’s almost done with the book so I think we’re going to do Writing Tales and then go back to Writing Strands when she finishes level 2 because that’s all there is for Writing Tales right now. There’s some more things I want to add as we go on, but it’ll have to wait to see how far along we are.
