Don't judge a book by it's cover

So I have a confession to make. The Giver is a very recommended book. But I have never wanted to read it. Because of the cover. And the title. They have just turned me off reading it. But I love Hunger Games. And I was recommended that if you like dystopian-society books then to read The Giver. And it was amazing. I love books that make me think about them afterwords. If it leaves me wondering what happened next and thinking about it over the next few days then the book is a hit. So all in all, a very good book. Like everyone says.

Books to review

For Christmas, Robert got me a Kindle. It’s amazing. I think I like my Sony Reader better, but the Kindle is easier to get books onto. I didn’t think the wireless setting was such a big deal before, but now that I have it, I have a hard time going back to my Sony. So on my Kindle is a collection of books I’ve read but need to review. They are:

Eh, more books over the past what? Two years?

Soo

Hunger Games – very awesome

Percy Jackson – Just as epic

Poison Study – pretty awesome

Artemis Fowl – Is awesome ’nuff said

Beowolf- Confusing but rather cool

The Golden Compass- I like it no matter what people say

Yeah thats all I’m posting right now…

DisneyWorld Approaches! By Kaelee Hess
As many of you may or may not know, the trip to Walt Disney World is looming near.
As of June 25 the Hess family will start the tiring journey to Orlando, Florida.
The Hess family will meet up with Clyde, Kathy, Jeremy and Emma Ginnett.
They plan to go to Harry Potter World and The Magic Kingdom.
Everyone is exited and anxious about the trip, and can’t wait for when it finally arrives.
The Hesses and Ginnetts (The ones in Texas) are driving. While the Ginnetts in Washington are flying.
Recent report from Caleb Hess is, “Buzz and Woody!” He is very exited.
He can’t go on many rides but he should be able to have a great time anyway.
There is still about a month till they go but it is not something to take very lightly.
Be prepared for Disney World people!

New Things.
In the Hess household there is a new arrival. Oliver William Hess is now about two months old and is doing very well.
Recent report from the doctor says he is the size of a four month old!
He is quite a chunker-runker.
He loves to sit up and he has started to talk a bit more cooing when he is in a better mood. He also is starting to roll over slightly.
He is starting to recognize people a little better, and he loves his swing.
He is getting brown eyes, dark brown hair, and of course long curly eyelashes. A weird thing is he has Ginnett toes! Watch out Grampa you have competition!

You like me. You really like me.

Caleb: Daddy the buggies like me!!!!
Robert: Kill the mosquito. Squash it. It’s biting you.
Caleb: but it likes me.

Another scrapbook page done.

I’ve spent the past couple of weeks going through my scrapbook files and organizing them. I think I’m about done with them so I decided to actually do something for once.

52 pages in 52 weeks

So one of my New Year’s resolutions is to do one scrapbook page every week. I did two today so I’m only one behind! Here they are:
